Through my nurturing, caring and understanding ways, I aim to help and support others and bring warmth comfort and positive energy, just like the energy from the sun. Hence the name Solare.

Solare is Italian for Solar, and therefore aim to bring warmth into your service and celebration of your loved ones life.

Order of Service

Family meeting

Once you have opted for a Celebrant lead service, and have made contact with me, I will first arrange a mutually convenient time for us to meet.

During the meeting, we will chat through the life of your loved one, to create a heartfelt tribute. We will discuss any elements you would like included in your service ( such as poems; readings; hymns, music, photographs etc).

Draft Eulogy/Tribute

I will collate the family information and incorporate this into a beautiful tribute, and pass you the draft copy within 2-3 days of our initial meeting, offering plenty of time for amendments, additions etc., capturing your loved ones nature, personality and honouring their legacy.

On the day

I will arrive early at the service (approximately 20 minutes prior) and will be available to conduct and lead the proceedings. Providing compassion, support and reassurance throughout, helping you navigate the day as comfortably as possible.

Example Eulogy/Tribute

On the 23rd of June 1949, Marie Evans was born in the Mining village of Glanamon, Amonford, Carmarthenshire, to the proud parents of  Joan  and Thomas.
Anyone who knew Marie, knew her as a kind, loving, caring and well respected “lady”.
Her love of cooking, knitting, puzzles and dancing, were just a few of her skills. Everyone loved her Rissoles, her knitted shawls and scarves.

Marie was not only creative, but also very academic. At age four she attended Garnant County Primary School, and it is here that she flourished, and in later years went on to pass her 11+, gaining her entry into Amon Valley Grammar School. An achievement her dad Thomas was particularly proud of…  his only daughter …. his “Cariad” .

After leaving school, aged 16  Marie worked in Woolworth as a Retail Assistant where a colleague John Phillips, introduced her to a young man called Dean. They met at a house Party in Bettws Amonford….
and 3 years later Marie & Dean were engaged.
On the 1st of October 1966 in Maries Sunday School…Bethesda Baptist Chapel, Glanaman, Marie Evans married Dean Evans …… much to dads’ approval as Marie had no need to change her surname!! And…The Evans family name would live on!!
On that wedding day when Marie arrived at the Chapel, Dean was no where to be seen!!! After some deliberation and concern… he was finally located in the Vestry .. described as being “ill” … needless to say, once he knew his betrothed had arrived, he made a miraculous recovery and the wedding thankfully proceeded!

The family recall another funny story that occurred on that day….. The happy couple were on their way to Neath train station to travel to London for the Honeymoon… driven by Deans sister katie, when the bonnet of the car suddenly flew up, obstructing the view on the road… But I am happy to report that no one was hurt and no car damaged…. More importantly this did not stop the trip to the train station .. just as Dean being ill did not prevent him marrying the love of his life…
their love proved to conquer any sickness and overcome any flying car bonnet.

Both Marie and Dean enjoyed music and shared their love for live shows.
On Honeymoon, they went to a West End Show at The London Palladium, visited the revolving Post Office Tower and Dean even paid for Marie to have her beautiful Auburn hair washed and blow dried at a fancy London Salon.

At the age of 24, Marie sadly lost both her parents,  and her & Dean continued to live at the family home in Glanaman, where they raised two daughters,
first Michelle born in July 1968,
and Sharon in May 1971.
When the girls were in school, Marie worked at Garnant Primary school, as Head cook. Her Xmas Puddings became legendary throughout the school and village. She was loved by all the children and staff, but unfortunately her role was short lived due to ill health.

However, Marie still managed to fill the family chest freezer with to her  “Batch Cooking”…from the school days, and the girls recall how dad would fret over having no room, but Mam always reassured him … stating.. “ Don’t worry Ill make room”…….
And she always did…

Room for all her delicious Lasagnes, faggots and Rissoles!!

Marie was also blessed with grandchildren….
Alisha born in 1999,
and lisa in 2005…
she spent many an hour passing on all her knowledge, wisdom and fun.
She Adored them…….
and they had a special bond.

Maries colourful personality was also evident throughout her later years, with her extensive wardrobe…. An array of beautiful garments, colour coordinated and accessorised…. A matching handbag and pair of shoes with every outfit.

Marie suffered with COPD during her latter years but refused to let that get her down.
Her health however, continued to deteriorate and the illness eventually took over, and Marie passed away peacefully at home on the 12th of August,
surrounded by her beautiful girls Michelle and Sharon,
and husband Dean.

They take great comfort in her painless and peaceful passing and are grateful for the show of colour here today, in Maries Honour.

Thank you

Michelle
